My Journey

Hello, and welcome to Planet Nzuri!

Greetings, I’m Bitoolah Yehudah. My roots trace back to Dimona, Israel, a small town in the southern part of the country, where I was born and raised as a member of the Hebrew Israelite Community. This tight-knit community became the backdrop for my life – from attending school, experiencing the challenges, running away from home, returning, getting married, and having four wonderful children, to unfortunately facing divorce.

Our community faced unique struggles, particularly between 1969 and 2000 when members lacked legal status in Israel. Despite this, we established our educational, medical, and business institutions. One of the highlights of our community is the “Beit Kiem” a natural birthing facility, where women enjoy a two-week postnatal stay for recovery and bonding with their newborns. My passion for caring for others led me to manage this unit from 2007 to 2010, a role that laid the foundation for my current work in the wellness industry.

Now, let’s rewind and explore the path that led me to where I am today.

History

Over a decade ago, my marriage ended, leading to a period of personal and financial challenges. Balancing postpartum depression, I took on various roles to make ends meet, handling home repairs and facing legal and debt issues. Additionally, my father’s health struggles in the USA added another layer of complexity.

Despite these challenges, I found resilience and humor in the midst of chaos. Navigating through life’s difficulties, I discovered the power of laughter as a coping mechanism. Today, I embrace life’s twists with a simpler and more professional perspective, recognizing the strength gained from overcoming past adversities.

Amidst these challenges, a significant turn unfolded in my journey. My mother, also a single parent, confronted the painful revelation of sexual abuse endured by both her children, particularly my younger brother, who faced severe PTSD and a possible disassociated personality disorder. Breaking the silence within our community, my mother collaborated on a committee to conduct workshops addressing molestation and abuse, a courageous step that led to her departure from a community she had been a part of for over 35 years.

Temporarily leaving for America, left me without the occasional support she provided. Facing the reality of being truly alone, I found myself running – faster than Forrest Gump.

This led me to cosmetology school, pursuing courses one at a time. I gradually became a certified medical pedicurist and manicurist, mastering various beauty skills and alternative healing modalities. This journey marked a new chapter in my life – one of resilience and self-discovery.

Virtous

Armed with my acquired skills, I ventured into entrepreneurship in 2013 with “Hands of Gold,” offering a range of services I had mastered. In addition to my passion for crocheting, I provided custom-made cultural attire and crocheted items. Later rebranding as Bunique365, I used the income from my business to chip away at debts and enhance my children’s quality of life.

Despite the financial improvements, my personal well-being was still a struggle. Battling emotional challenges, I realized I needed a change. Transitioning from regular emotional outbursts, I chose a different path, holding things in, which unfortunately took a toll on my health. Various issues, from a serious skin infection to a persistent yeast infection, prompted a quest for a solution.

In this pursuit, I discovered herbal vaginal pearls, a game-changer for my health. Enthusiastic about the results, I became a distributor and delved into womb healing. Taking a course, I became a certified Womb Sauna Therapist, incorporating vaginal steaming services into my business. Crafting my herbal blends and Womb Detox Herbal Gems (not pearls), I expanded my product line.

As I delved deeper into the importance of womb health, I openly shared my healing journey, becoming a testimony for others. By discussing my experiences, I found myself helping women release emotional baggage that impacted their health. Today, my business not only offers services but also serves as a platform for promoting well-being and supporting women on their healing journeys.

True Story

Expanding my expertise, I added certifications as a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, Aroma Touch Therapist, Emergency First Responder, and Bio Sculpture Technician (specializing in vegan gel polish). Concerned about the risks associated with traditional nail polish, I sought an alternative to provide my clients. Witnessing the growth of my business, I decided to make one final name change, establishing Planet Nzuri LLC. “Nzuri,” meaning beautiful in Swahili, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the services and products I offer, aligning with my company slogan, “where internal and external beauty merge.”

As my knowledge grew, I shared my hardships with the world, and many came to my aid. With their assistance, I successfully paid off the last of my debts, enabling me to leave Israel and embark on a new chapter in my life. I credit my mom for teaching me the importance of self-care through her own actions. After stepping away when needed, she returned stronger to support both my brother and me. As a certified mentor and child safety advocate, she continues to work on behalf of those in need, serving as our biggest cheerleader and an “unofficial” administrative assistant. My gratitude to her knows no bounds.

In 2019, as the restrictions on leaving Israel lifted, I made the decision to relocate to the US. Settling in Atlanta, Georgia, where I had family and friends, I leveraged my vegan cooking skills to secure a job while simultaneously working towards realizing my dream of re-establishing Planet Nzuri.

Fast forward to today, 2024

My journey has been a genuine lemon-to-lemonade experience, a transformation that I am not only grateful to have survived but one that has allowed me to bloom into the person I am today. The challenges I faced, coupled with the myriad certifications I’ve acquired over the years, paved the way for the creation of Planet Nzuri LLC. While it currently operates as a home-based business, my ultimate vision is to establish brick-and-mortar facilities globally, spanning the US, Israel, Africa, and the Caribbean.

As I continue to evolve both personally and professionally, I am driven by the belief that challenges can be catalysts for remarkable growth and positive change.
